About Us

Youth and adults with physical disabilities including limited upper body strength and impaired mobility have few resources for recreational sports activities and require adaptive equipment to meet their physical limitations.  The Toronto Power Wheelchair Hockey League (TPWHL) brings these individuals together in the camaraderie of a team-based, competitive sports environment.  All suitable* individuals will benefit from the opportunity to be part of a team, the resulting social interactions and the potential to develop skills otherwise not thought possible.

Location: Sunny View Public School, 450 Blythwood Rd., Toronto

Game Times:  Every Saturday (except holidays) at 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm

*Due to the highly competitive nature of this sport and to ensure the health & safety of all participants, players must meet minimum suitability requirements (physical and cognitive) to be eligible to participate.

*Potential new players will be assessed based on their skills, understanding of game play, and mental and emotional maturity. The TPWHL reserves the right to limit the number of players approved to participate depending on the availability of volunteers; the number of suitable players wishing to play and the overall manageability of the size of the league.

The TPWHL is a member of NAPHA (North American Power Hockey Association).

The TPWHL is an affiliate of the CEWHA (Canadian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association).
